In "Untitled" (2007), a time-based installation work, Urale filmed her father in his every-day domestic environment. Interested in exploring aspects of her father's condition with dementia, the work required Urale to shift from the role of daughter/caregiver into a role of documenter/voyeur.
Vaimaila is currently completing a Bachelor of Visual Arts at Auckland University of Technology, majoring in sculpture. Interested in collaborative processes in art making, she is also a member of arts collective - Li'l Mama's Art Klub.
