Nigel Brown was born in 1949 and
attended Elam School of Fine Art
graduating in 1972 with a BFA.
Since then he has exhibited extensively
and has work in most NZ public collections.
A book on his work and two touring surveys have toured NZ.
Works primarily as a painter and printmaker.Numerous commissions.
Uses strong engaging symbols derived from living and text in borders.
Basic concern with human issues,the environment and identity.
