More Fatu Feu'u artwork unveiled 15 December 2008 This week Pacific peoples living and working in Waitakere City have been celebrated and honoured by the unveiling of "Folau" an artwork commissioned by Waitakere Council from leading Pacific artist Fatu Feu'u an Arts Laureate of that city. This beautiful large scale sculpture in wood, copper, bronze,natural shells and lashing was installed last week on the Airbridge between Waitakere City Council Offices and the Railway Station. It is a contemporary interpretation of the voyaging of Pacific people's past and present around the Pacific. ... More AEROLSOL ARABIC 4 December 2008 In conjunction with the British Council Australia, NZ artist Samapeap Tarr, a Cambodiam Nzer, was sent to the Melbourne Festival. While there, he teamed up with UK Islamic Grafitti artist Mohammed Ali. Birmingham-based Ali collaborated with 14 young Muslim women to create a street mural highlighting the importance of water in the current global environment.
