ViewFinder | 24 hours a day. 7 days a week. 365 days a year.

The Film Archive has announced the opening of ViewFinder, a platform for presenting moving images at the window frontage of Auckland Central Library, Lorne Street.

As a street level presentation, ViewFinder will furnish a pocket of Auckland's CBD with historic and contemporary moving images. For filmmakers and artists it provides a unique opportunity to exhibit their work in a dynamic
public environment, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

ViewFinder begins the spring season with ‘At Home With The Ants' a sophisticated animation work by Auckland artist Jill Kennedy. The screening of this work coincides with a wider ‘New Educational Series' exhibition by Jill Kennedy also currently on at the Film Archive's Karangahape Road exhibition space.

The Film Archive is thrilled to be presenting this and many more exciting works in the future, furnishing the CBD with a little more colour and a little more sound.
