Art in the Super City Meeting | Tuesday September 1, 2009

By Artists Alliance | 2 September 2009

Artists Alliance would like to thank everyone who attended the meeting last night. We were very pleased with the wide representation of art forms and regions.

The meeting was a success in that it allowed participants to identify issues surrounding the establishment of the Super City and its possible effects on the arts.

Nikki Kaye, National MP for Auckland Central and member of the Auckland Governance Legislation Select Committee; Phil Twyford - Labour list MP and Labour spokesperson on Auckland Issues; and Colin Dale, member of the Auckland Transition Agency attended the meeting and answered questions from the floor.

Comprehensive notes were taken at the meeting and further information will be circulated to interested parties. If you would like to be on the mailing list for this and future information please email Maggie Gresson at maggie@artistsalliance.org.nz
